You post a job with the trade you need, what needs doing, where the work is, and when you need it. Tradespeople in that trade can view the job and, if they are interested, contact you directly. FindMyTrader makes the introduction. It does not carry out the work, and any agreement is between you and the tradesperson.
Select Post a Job, choose the trade, then describe the work, the postcode, and when you need it done. Add your name, phone number and email so a tradesperson can reach you. If you are not already signed in, you confirm your email before the job is posted.
Yes. Posting a job is free. FindMyTrader does not charge customers to post a job.
Your contact details are not shown publicly. A tradesperson who is interested in your job can get your name, phone number and email, then contact you directly.
You can close a job from My Jobs when you no longer want responses, and you can reopen it later. You can also delete it. Job details cannot be edited after posting. If something needs to change, close or delete the job and post a new one.
You pay the tradesperson directly for the work. FindMyTrader does not receive, hold or process your payment for the job. Agree the price, the payment method and the payment terms with the tradesperson before work begins.
No. You pay the tradesperson directly for the work. FindMyTrader does not receive, hold or process the customer's payment for the actual job. You and the tradesperson agree the price, payment method and payment terms between yourselves before work begins.
Agree the details directly with the tradesperson before work begins. Cover the scope of the work, whether the price is fixed or an estimate, materials and extra costs, dates, how and when you will pay, and what happens if either of you cancels. FindMyTrader is not part of that agreement.
